We are United

It is undeniable that the England Euro football team are an inspiring model of how to ‘do team’, drawing on the richness of diversity as part of its strength.  This contrasts sharply with the disgraceful racist social media posts circulating.  These only proclaim untruths, cause hurt and distress, and evidence the urgent need to address a deeply distressing hatred in a small part of our society.  It is important that those of us who are not part of this minority speak out and that lies and hatred are called out for what they are.  Please pray for the England team (some of whom are professing Christians), those distressed by what has happened, and that eyes will be opened.
